After your admiaadmi has been confirmed, IGNOU University send you the required books on the registered address along with a confirming letter. So, if you haven't received any such mail, try applying for another university, or try confirming about your admission from the officials of the institute.

The delivery of study materials vary among IGNOU students, a lot of people receive it after 3-4 months of confirmation of their admission and there are also people who receive it after submitting their assignments. And, you do not have to go to college, you'll receive your study materials only at the address you've provided at the time of your IGNOU admission, and that's your home.

Another important thing worth mentioning is, IGNOU has made things lot easier nowadays for students, you can go through the digital study materials of your course uploaded in the eGyanKosh site, it's the official digital library of study material you can say, it contains all the study materials for students enrolled in different programmes at IGNOU.
