Looking over all this scenario your chances to get seat in NIT Kurukshetra is negligible because the cutoff rank for NIT Kurukshetra for Computer engineering is near about 5799 rank for general category.
IT.  7623 cutoff rank
ECE.  9995 cutoff rank
Electrical engineering. 12788 Cutoff rank
MECHANICAL.   13515 cutoff rank
Civil.     18013 cutoff rank
Production and industrial engineering.   22806 Cutoff rank.
So, looking over these cutoffs you may only get civil and production and industrial engineering because it fall under your cutoff rank. But admission in CSE and IT and some other branches is almost negligible.

For taking admission in NIT kurukshetra one needs to have a rank less than 10000 so with your rank you will not be able to get into NIT kurukshetra with the IT branch. As according to the previous years cutoff the closing rank for general category in home state quota for IT branch was 8856.

Admission also depends on various factors such as category, home state quota, branch, number of students applied, number of seats, difficulty level of examination,etc. You can get other branches like mechanical engineering, civil engineering and electrical engineering,and some other lower branch in NIT kurukshetra but the cutoff for cs and IT is very high.

According to previous year statistics, your chances of getting a seat in it branch is somewhat less as the previous year's closing rank for this branch was 8856  for home state quota, but you can get other branches like civil engineering, mechanical engineering, production engineering and electrical engineering. You can take these branches and opt for a branch change after an year.
