I have got 54.6 mks in gate 2019 and 648 score,can I get good IIT, if not then which nit to chose having good placements in transportation?

Hello Kaveer,

I assume that you are from Civil Engineering branch and general category. If that is true then your chances are decent to get admission into some IITs or NITs. Some of the colleges where you might get according to previous years data are:

  • IIT Bombay- Cutoff (gen)- 620- WRE, Ocean Engineering; 650- Geotechnical Engineering; 675- Structural Engineering
  • IIT Roorkee- 50.47- Transportation Systems
  • IIT Kanpur- 627- Geo-informatics
  • IIT Guwahati- 639- Transportation Systems Engineering (2017)
  • NIT Warangal- max closing score- 680- Transportation Systems Engineering (2018)
  • NIT Rourkela- max closing score- 633- Transportation Systems Engineering (2018)
