I have got Mechanical in VIT Vellore and CSE in visveswaraiah institute of technology? I am interested in both groups. which is best?

Hi. I would suggest you to go with the branch of your choice. Mechanical at VIT is very good in terms of academics. But the placement records aren't very impressive. Less than 20% students are placed in the core companies. Rest of them go for IT companies.

While the placement record for CSE is very good at VIT. So I guess CSE will give you more opportunities in terms of jobs.

Rest is your choice. If you are really interested in Mechanical then VIT is the right place for you.
