Yes , it is definitely possible for a student to get enrolled in IIT Madras program for data science along with any other course.

Since you are pursuing Btech in CSE you can easily get enrolled since program is completely online and anyone can pursue it easily. Its just that you should have a stable internet connection since a student will be provided with prerecorded lecture.

along with this as far as Burden is concerned, as stated by the faculty of IIT Madras in order to perform well you need to dedicate 10 hrs. per week which means if you are doing the course on a part time basis you can easily complete the course in 3 to 4 years , thus you can pursue the course if you are ready to devote around 1.5 to 2 hrs. per day and complete the assignments on time , this will help you a lot in the future.

If you are studying in CSE , then choosing data Science as degree course with B.tech degree simultaneously can be hectic for you .. CSE syllabus almost covers a majority of data science course . In this case , I can suggest you two options :

1. Do Online certification course in data science related course(if you're interested) from Coursera, Udemy, NPTEL
2. Enter this online data science course as foundational level (6 months certifications)

Now , it's completely depends upon your choice and availability of time to take two courses .
