Both universities are good for distance learning, but IGNOU is more old university then NSOU, IGNOU established in the year 1985 whereas NSOU established in the year 1997, the other good thing about IGNOU is that it is a central university and NSOU is a state University, IGNOU is more reowned and reputed then NSOU, so it would be more better if you would choose IGNOU.

In my opinion IGNOU is best as is a central university and has been authorized to open study centers anywhere in the country whereas SMU is a private university having no authorisation to open study centers outside sikkim as per UGC notification.
