The colleges promote gender diversity.
However, as per past records the most preferred choices for girls at NIT Surathkal have been:-

1. computer science Engineering
2. Information technology engineering
3. Electronics and Telecom Engineering

However, its a myth that core branches are not suitable for girls.
There are equivalent employment opportunities for all genders in core branches as well.

You should strictly take up stream as oer your interests and not which is best suited for any particular gender.
