This is a very relative question because for someone 10k rank would be good as per his/her expectations or can be bad too. So, I would give my review as per my judgement.

I don't think as of now 2-3k rank is even good for wbjee because I consider there is only 2-3 good colleges in wbjee and that is Jadavpur University, institute of engineering and management, heritage institute of technology.

So, among these Jadavpur has reserved its 90% seats for state candidates. I think if you are an other state candidate you should not give wbjee because it's of no use. Other colleges doesn't have much encouraging placements.

A comparison of a rank can not be done on any particular rank that wether it is good or not it only depends upon your target and the goals which you have set. Now if you are looking and interested for any medium range of colleges than it is a good rank and you can try for admissions over there. But if you have a target that you any particular top college than i would say it is not at all enough score to get into it. Hope so it was help ful.

This is very difficult to predict which college you will get because cut off  keeps changing every year depending upon a number of factors like

--------) number of students that appeared in the WBJEE exam

--------)difficulty level of the WBJEE examination

--------)Kind of marks obtained by the students in the WBJEE exam

--------) number of students from different categories etc

But yes,

10k general rank  is a good  rank , considering your category as general

On the basis of wbjee 2019 , round 3 , cut off data , you have chances in following government colleges :-

• Cooch Behar Government Engineering College, ECE :-11824

• Govt. College Of Engg. & Textile Technology, Berhampore, Mechanical engineering-12223

• Ramkrishna Mahato Government Engineering College, civil engineering-16894
