If we compare COEP and VIT then VIT is regarded as a much better college.  VIT* has been ranked among the top 20 Universities in the Country for the 4th time consecutively and in Engineering, VIT has been ranked 15 ^th in India. VIT has a great campus, good infrastructure and has a better placement record than COEP. COEP offers more learning based experience but placements are not as good as VIT.

There was a quota for applying through JEE mains in COEP but you need a very good percentile and it is advised to give MHTCET exam as all seats are reserved for Maharashtra students. You need at least more than 200 marks in MHTCET exam to get a seat in COEP.
