In actual if you want to get admission in iiser than you need to give kvpy exam or jee exam based on your score you may get admission.
Their is 5 year course available for students this course is known as BS MS Course in this students get two degrees from institution.
The bsc course is designed as similar to ugc so it is not very much different from other institution but the faculty of institution is really very good. As you want to know that it is giving you research education so on this I want to say that every institution complete their syallbus it depends on students that how he utilize that study in which manner.
