Hello Aspirant, IIT has always been a synonym for quality education. IIT roorkee has a very good C.SE department and the branch is excellent. The infrastructure is great and the college has very huge placement records like 1 crore from Microsoft, etc. You shouldn't be too much dependant on faculty as they are not very much qualified there. Self study is the key and following it can yield great results.

This year year 3 students from IIT Roorkee in which one was from computer science got a placement of more than one crore rupees so yes IIT Roorkee is also having a good computer science department.  Actually every IIT have its computer science as strength so you can definitely to IIT Roorkee CS as your branch.
