Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee offers a total of 231 courses at undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral levels. IIT Roorkee UG courses include B.Tech, B.Arch and dual degrees. IIT Roorkee PG courses include M.Tech, M.Arch, M.B.A, M.sc, M.Plan, M.Des. The college also offers Ph.D. The duration of UG courses last from 4 years to 5 years. The duration of IIT Roorkee PG courses last for 2 years and Ph.D may last up to 6 years.

It jas all thr necessary infrastructure, facilities and equipment. The labs are well equipped for experiments, the classes are well maintained, has projectors and the space is well maintained and cleaned.
Roorkee has got the best infrastructure among all IIT'S. I have been to some other IIT like Powai and BHU but Roorkee wins it hands down. Well maintained Mess hostels labs and libraries. Food is the best .
Yes, it has all necessary facilities and all are well maintained. Living spaces are clean & the food is also hygenic. It has air conditioned classrooms, centralised library, well developed sports center and spacious hostels.

Mechanical Engineering is one of the ancient and well-established branches in IIT Roorkee. The placement in mechanical is more than 72% with the rest of the population choosing for higher studies, CAT and UPSC. The average package in Mechanical Engineering is more than 10 Lacs.

IIT Roorkee does not accept NATA scores. Admission to IIT Roorkee is based on exams such as JEE Advanced, GATE, JAM, and written tests followed by interview rounds.
