Dear Khushi, these 3 entrance exams are the most reputed ones in our country. The unification of these 3 has its own pros and cons.

Pros-

  • There will be only one exam for the aspirants to prepare for.
  • The EWS section will surely be benefitted.
  • Aspirants can prepare for only single exam without giving a thought of which one to prioritize
  • Difficulty level will surely be less than AIIMS.

Cons-

  • One common exam means only one chance.
  • The one's who had more conceptual clarity did better in AIIMS. But now they will find hardship a little bit as this exam will depend more on practice and solving speed.
  • All the medical institutions whether the topmost college like AIIMS or any other private college will admit students on the basis of their score whatever they get. So, surely the level of competition will increase.

All the best

Hope this helps

Hey Aspirant,

Every thing has pros and cons. In this case it has more cons then pros. Only benefit it has is that students just have to give on exam that will decrease the cost of giving separate exam and save time. But problem is that if you perform bad in NEET you will have regret for a year but due to several exams like AIIMS,JIPMER you will have Chance to improve yes it consumes time. But your chances of getting a medical seats increase. Another thing is if these exam get combined then NEET should be made twice a year similar to JEE Mains.

Best of luck
