Mop up round is the fourth round that is conducted after 3 consecutive rounds of counselling in WBJEE entrance examinations.

In the mop up round counselling is done for remaining seats in the colleges. Such as if the college is having seat remaining after 3 rounds of counselling then the college will participate in mop up round for filling the remaining seats.

Both private and Government colleges participate in mop up round but usually the mop up round is useful for the Government colleges to fill the remaining seats. Because if the seats are remaining in the private colleges then they can fill the seats using direct admission process afterwards but the government colleges mainly used mop up round to fill the vacant seats in their colleges.

But in wbjee both private and Government colleges participate for mop up round if if there are vacant seats in the college, and according to the seats availability.

WBJEE COUNSELLING

For those who will get seats, they have to make the online payment of provisional admission fee and visit the institute allotted for document verification and subsequent admission process. Those who will not get seats in round 1 of WBJEE, they may be allotted seats in round 2. However, those who have got seats in round 1 can opt for up gradation in round 2, if not satisfied with the allotted seat. Similarly, round 3 will also be conducted.
