Yes harsh, it it just a state level UG and PG programme that Directorate of Higher Education, Maharashtra conducts.
After qualifying the exam you are free to chose as to what course you want to opt. You'll be free to chose your Specialization paper thereafter.
Exam is for students to check their Aptitude and knowledge of the course they'll be doing.
On April 21,2019 exam for UG programme will take place and for PG it is on May 11, 2019

Application is available online for UG courses till March 11,2019 and the result will come on May 13,2019.
