As considering our rank 4000 it seems to be impossible to do B tech in surat but you can get seat in SVNIT to do M.S.C
Bro I also get 3000 rank then also I am not getting SVNIT belong to ST but most important round is CSAB round which come after Josaa round .
CSAB round in which you will definitely get SVNIT so don't worry.

As you have mentioned that your ST category rank is 4282 and your home state is Gujarat. Considering the previous years cutoff for SVNIT you may not be able to get a seat here because the almost for every branches the cutoff for ST category with home state was around 2500 rank at last. For computer science engineering the last rank was 789. So, you may try for other colleges. For predicting your college you can use the following link:

With a rank of around 4000 in the ST category rank list in JEE Mains 2020, you will be able to get non core branches like biomedical, mettalurgy, mining, etc at SVNIT Surat and MNIT Rajasthan.
Please go for all the rounds of JOSAA counseling and also the CSAB spot round as you might get other branches as well in the subsequent rounds.

You might get branches like civil, mechanical, EEE in newer NITs like

• NIT Srinagar
• NIT. Mizoram
• NIT Manipur
• NIT Nagaland
