Since both the displayed institutes are good only but if you compare among them then ;

Academics : VIT = SRM
Placements : VIT > SRM
Faculty : VIT > SRM
Infrastructure : VIT = SRM
Hostel : VIT = SRM
People : VIT = SRM.
Ranking : VIT > SRM.

So overall it depends upon you on which institute you get good marks among both of these.
