You should choose your branch According to your interest .what you are passionate about because you can't achieve success if u don't like what you do.
I would say take Mechanical in bit sinderi because with mechanical u can still learn various programming languages and sit on it companies interview also but if you take cse you cannot sit in mechanical interview.
If you are interested in programming and also want to do web development and something like data science course then choose data science course as it is new and you will be paid highly.
Basically choose your career according to passion rather than packages because everyone has different potential so not everyone will get same packages . I have few friends who got great packages in mechanical that too Greater than cse.
All you should have is the adequate knowledge about whatever branch you are going to study.
