BIT Sindri Dhanbad offers admissions at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels, with B.Tech and M.Tech being the courses available. BIT Sindri lateral entry admissions to diploma holders in engineering and technology are made in the 3rd semester through a competitive examination conducted separately for them. The number of seats through lateral entry in all branches is 10% of the normal seats for BIT Sindri admissions.

• Candidates must choose the desired course and choose BIT Sindri, Dhanbad as their desired institution during counselling.
• Candidates must get their documents verified and pay the BIT Sindri fees for final admissions. 

Candidates can apply for BIT Sindri admission to any of the 15 M.Tech courses. Candidates who meet the BIT Sindri admission eligibility requirements and have a valid GATE score are eligible for a monthly stipend as per the AICTE / Government-approved norms. Non-GATE candidates can also apply for admissions but they would not receive any stipend.
