BIT Sindri Admission 2025: Dates, Application Form, Courses, Fees & Eligibility

BIT Sindri Dhanbad offers admissions at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels, with B.Tech and M.Tech being the courses available. B.Tech course BIT Sindri admissions are granted based on the marks obtained in the Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination (JCECE), followed by participation in the counselling process.

BIT Sindri lateral entry admissions to diploma holders in engineering and technology are made in the 3rd semester through a competitive examination conducted separately for them. BIT Sindri admission to M.Tech, candidates must possess a valid score on the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) and pass a written test and interview conducted by BIT Sindri. The number of seats through lateral entry in all branches is 10% of the normal seats for BIT Sindri admissions.

No, direct admission is not available at BIT Sindri. Admissions are granted based on entrance exams. Admission to B.Tech is strictly through the JCECE entrance exam.

Candidates can apply for BIT Sindri admission in any specialisations of the B.Tech courses, which have a duration of 4 years. It also provides lateral entry admissions in the 3rd semester of the B.Tech programme through competitive examinations conducted separately for the diploma holders.

• Candidates must apply and appear for the Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination (JCECE) conducted by the JCECE board.
• After clearing the exam, candidates must appear for counselling conducted by the JCECE board.
• Candidates must choose the desired course and choose BIT Sindri, Dhanbad as their desired institution during counselling.
• Candidates must get their documents verified and pay the BIT Sindri admission fees for final admissions. 

Candidates can apply for BIT Sindri admission to any of the 15 M.Tech courses. Candidates who meet the BIT Sindri admission eligibility requirements and have a valid GATE score are eligible for a monthly stipend as per the AICTE / Government-approved norms. Non-GATE candidates can also apply for admissions but they would not receive any stipend.
