The college does have all the necessary infrastructure. The new hostels and lecture halls are modern and well equipped. It also has a central library with a vast collection of books. The living spaces are clean and hygienic.
I'm in Information Technology branch and the faculty is experienced and encouraging. Although I would say that the curriculum is old and not includes the recent developments in the field but the students can form a base and learn the other required concepts on their own.
The placements of core branches such as Mechanical and Electrical is very good with almost 100% placement rate. But the branches like CSE, IT, Cyber security do face some trouble in securing good placements.
Value for money is the biggest positive of this college as the fees is very low as compared to other colleges. And for girl student it is even lower. So overall it has a great Return on investment for all the branches.
Campus Life is kind of mid in this college but there are many events both technical and non technical in which students can take part and engage. The students, teachers are other staff are very good and helping in nature.
This college can be a great place for core branches and provides a great value for money. The new hostels and lecture halls are modern and the labs are well equipped which will make you job ready and secure a good placement.
It has all the facilities needed for students such as individual departments, labs, library, sports club gym ,hostels, cafeteria inside campus etc.clean & green environment facilities. Large campus and separate ground for girls available.
All professors are very humble & mindfully towards their students. You can approach your departmental professors anytime during college time for your queries. Classrooms are provided with smart boards
In placement our college is top notch It provides placements to nearly all the students Mainly branches like metallurgy, mining, mechanical have high placement rate Meanwhile the other branches also have good placement but due to high strength of students 100% placement not possible.
No comments on this because as it is a government college the fees are very minimal according to other engineering colleges.
Students are provided hostels Big campus Good for evening walks
Our campus is pretty huge and it has that classic old school govt college vibe. Classrooms in the electrical dept are decent but dont expect high end modern setups everywhere. Some labs have really old equipment but we still manage to get the practicals done. Wi-Fi is there in hostels but speed is hit or miss sometimes. Coming to hostels, rooms are average and you have to maintain cleanliness your own self. Mess food is just okay, nothing great but edible enough to survive. Sports ground is quite big and people play cricket and football daily.
I am pursuing B.Tech in Electrical Engineering because core sector has good opportunities. The professors are highly qualified, many have PhDs and huge experience, but their teaching style is traditional. Curriculum is mostly based on university guidelines so its a bit old fashioned and theoretical. You have to put extra efforts by yourself to learn coding or industry relevant skills if you want to be fully job ready. Exams are conducted strictly and you really need to study well to maintain a good CGPA.
Placements are actually one of the main reasons people choose BIT Sindri. For core branches like electrical, companies like Tata Steel, JSW, and Vedanta visit every year and hire a good number of students. Highest package usually goes from IT or tech roles which is around 14 to 15 LPA or sometimes even more. Average package for our branch stands somewhere around 6 or 7 LPA. Training and placement cell is quite active and they try their best to bring companies, though the process gets competitive.
Since this is a government aided institute, the fees is incredibly low compared to private colleges. You basically get an engineering degree for a fraction of the cost. The return on investment is excellent because you pay very less yearly fees and still get decent placement opportunities. It is totally worth the money.
Campus life is fun if you join some clubs or societies. There are many technical and cultural clubs which keeps you busy. The campus location is in Dhanbad so its not a big metro city, but everything you need is available nearby. The student community is very supportive and seniors are helpful during exams and placements. Its generally safe and there is a good bonding among batchmates.
Overall my experience has been a mix of ups and downs but mostly positive. The college gives you a huge alumni network which helps a lot when you step out in the industry. If you are coming here expect to do self study for a lot of things especially if you want to go in IT sector. The infrastructure definitely needs improvement from govt side but the campus culture and low fees totally compensates for it. Its a great choice.
BIT Sindri has a large campus with old but well-functioning labs, workshops and classrooms. Many buildings look outdated, yet the facilities for practical learning are strong. The library is big and full of technical books. Hostel infrastructure needs improvement, but overall, the campus is spacious and good for technical education.
Academics are strong due to experienced faculty and a practical approach to engineering. Classes focus on fundamentals, especially for mechanical, electrical and civil branches. Teachers encourage project work and practical application of concepts. The syllabus is deeply technical, and students who are serious about core engineering learn a lot here.
BIT Sindri provides good placement opportunities, especially in core engineering companies. Many PSU-like industries and manufacturing organizations visit the campus. Packages vary depending on branch, but students with strong technical skills and projects get good offers. Placement support is helpful, and internships are encouraged for real-world exposure.
The college infrastructure is very nice the college is spread across 400 acres and there is new infrastructure and buildings being made in the college additionally the college received lot of funding recently for development of more infrastructure.
The professors are great and have good experience. Additionally there is scope for research as well. All though there is much scope of improvement otherwise everything is alright in the college and Elsa.
Placements scenarios are good and there are lots of good companies in the college specially in core branches like Tata Steel AMNS LNT. For it mostly mass recrutors and few Good companies are there in the college.
In terms of value for money this is the first college you can have in the state of Jharkhand and otherwise the college fees is very less compared to any other engineering college in the country. And the placement scenarios are good as well.
Campus lies live depends on the students expectation about the college as the colleges located in remote location you cannot expect much of amenities outside of the college but once you start to enjoy the college life and the bonds you from there it is the best place to be.
Good infrastructure, since the college is old. The class rooms have smart boards, Labs are equiped with the required instruments, central library has all the books that is reuired for acdemic study and even books for CAT Gate GMAT are also avl.
i have done mechanical engineering from this college and the curriculum was old, and does not include newer topics such as FEA in the course. Quality of teaching is good. However curriculam needs to be updated.
placements from the college is pretty decent, not very good but, more than 95% of students gets placement every year.Tata steel, L&T, AMNS, Jindal, Adani are some of the core comanines that vist the campus every year.
Avg. of 4 to 5 Lacs for all the 4 years are required, but the meadian CTC is around 7, so almost 2X return is there. Moreover, certain scolarships are there for people with good academic backgrounds in the college.
campus area is very huge, and lot of things to do from sports to cultural fest. Football, Hockey, cricket play grounds anre there. indoor sprorts like TT, Badminton and Gym are also available. overall the campus is not boring.
since the college is very old and has a great legacy, it has great infrastructure and all the buildings are in good condition, many hostel and college buildings are also being built which is great and distributes good audience
As a mechanical student, the college is one of the best in terms of academics and the faculties. the professors are one of the best and has deep knowledge about the subject, they provide both real life and theory knowledge.
This college is both good for placements in core branches and cse branches, but its main focus is on core branches like mech, electrical. it is very old and also many psus visit the college for campus placements.
great value of money for the students as they get good food, good education and also good knowledge about their subjects. so over all campus life is very good and the students here are both serious and unserious just like other campuses. so over all its good.
Great campus life just like other colleges , here the college is in the outskirts so the security of students are also seen as very important and taken care of, also the students have an over all great campus life.

It is a total value for money college because we only pay around 2.8 lacs in 4 years whereas the lowest package provided is of 3.5lpa so 100% and above return is provided by our college and if you work harder then you can also get a descent package from this college.
