hai tanveer ,every branch has better placements but has limited seats to place .the only fileds that has more number of places was COMPUTER SCIENCE and ENGINEERING and INFORMATION SECURITY both are related to it field and packages start from 2 lakhs to 15lakhs based on the company you get placed its purly depends on the knowledge and mind set of you when it comes to the collegs you mentioned both are good in south india with good number of placements

Placements : If good placement is your  goal, you should know that all good private engineering colleges in India helps you to get an average offer of more or less 3.5 lakhs in IT sector. So does VIT. Also students with good CGPA and descent profile get placed in the top e-commerce companies like Flipkart and ebay to the leading networking firms like CISCO with dream offers of more than 10 lakhs.

Internship : Many firms also come to recruit final year students for internship which offers job based on their performance during the period.  These include firms like Amazon.

Studies : Like any other private college, the studies are just fine here. It is not very difficult to score good marks in VIT.

Facilities : VIT is well known for its infrastructure and facilities whether its be equipped labs or the colossal library.

Hey Tanveer Aalam,

In B.Tech CSE has better placements and better packages,but if you go with any branch and excel very well in your studies then you can get the same packages as CSE.In B.Tech no branch is inferior or superior.All it depends on how you utilize your 4 years!

When compared to VIT and SRM University,

VIT has better placements and even in careers360 VIT is rated good and VIT is ranked at 13th position by MHRD Government 2017.
