Both programmes are significant in their own right. It is personal aptitude that determines which programme is best for her/him.

B Tech in Food Technology graduates have a better overall prospect because they can enter the industry/job market even without a master's degree, whereas B. Sc (Ag) graduates typically require M. Sc. (Ag) for higher positions.

Both graduates are eligible to compete in any competition where the minimum required qualification is a bachelor's degree in any discipline. As a result, the administrative/bank/railroad sectors have equal prospects. An agriculture graduate, on the other hand, has an advantage for certain positions in banks, particularly Agriculture Officer or Extension Officer.
