As, in nit you have to do Engineering as it has vast scope in job like psu, state govt. Jobs, IES and many technical exams.
In case of IISER you have opportunities to go in research field.

In my view the combined degree will not be that efficient as the normal bs-ms degree
If you want to do your ms then y don't you do it after you technical degree
