will the eligibility for neet 2020 change due to clubbing of aiims and jipmer in neet?

Shreya, the eligibility will not change with AIIMS and JIPMER conducting their admissions through NEET. What needs to be remembered is NEET is staying and AIIMS and JIPMER entrance examinations are being scrapped off which means NEET will not have to undergo any eligibility changes. Eligibility criteria remains the same. For the benefit of you and lakhs of aspirants, we shall detail the registration process.

ELIGIBILITY:

  • Indian Nationals, NRIs, PIOs, OCIs, and Foreign Nationals
  • No upper age limit as of now. The Candidate should be at least 17 years by December 31st of 2020
  • You should have completed your 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as your Core Subjects.
  • 50% Aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Biology for General Category, 45% for PWD and 40% for OBC,SC,ST Candidates.
  • NIOS and Private Candidates are also eligible

IMPORTANT DATES:

Registration Dates: 2nd to 31st December, 2019
Downloading of Admit Cards: 27th March, 2020
Date of Examination: 3rd May, 2020
Date of Announcing Result: 4th June, 2020

Greetings!


Although aiims and Jipmer have been scrapped off and now these exams have been merged with neet but the eligibility criteria of neet is still the same . You can check neet eligibility criteria provided below :-


  • You need to be at least 17 years old by December 31st, 2020 ,


  • In order to be eligible for Neet, you need to get at least 50 % aggregate in pcb in your class 12th board examination if you belong to general category ; while it's only 40% aggregate in pcb for obc, sc and st categories and 45 % aggregate in pcb for pwd candidates.


  • There's no upper age limit for neet

Since,  you will be appearing for neet 2020 you should know that NEET 2020 application form will be released by nta on December 2, 2019 in online mode at ntaneet.nic.in and the last date to register and fill the application form of NEET 2020 is December 31, 2019 , so make sure that you fill the application form between these dates and the neet examination will be conducted on May 3, 2020.

thank you so much but are you sure because i am a repeater and i have 50% aggregate only in pcb in boards and just in case this increases i ll be ineligible and waste my whole year and hardwork

shrey eligibility for neet 2020 has been already declared by nta , so eligibility criteria will not change dear , you don't need to worry at all.
