About BRAOU Hyderabad
Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Open University Hyderabad (BRAOU) was established in the year 1982 through an Act of the A.P. State Legislature (APOU Act 1982). The university was inaugurated by the former President of India, Late Sri Gyani Zail Singh. Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Open University Hyderabad was formerly known as Andhra Pradesh Open University. Later on in the year 1991, the Government of Andhra Pradesh renamed the institute to Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Open University Hyderabad. The varsity is also known as BRAOU Hyderabad. The university has been recognised by the University Grants Commission, New Delhi. BRAOU Hyderabad offers courses in the distance mode 213 study centres located at various places in Telangana & Andhra Pradesh states. Apart from the study centres, Andhra Pradesh Open University has 23 regional co-ordination centres. BRAOU Hyderabad is also a member of the Association of Commonwealth Universities, International Council for Open and Distance Education, Association of Indian Universities and Asian Association of Open Universities. The varsity provides educational opportunities to prison inmates under life sentence through study centres at Central Prison - Rajahmundry, Cherlapally, Warangal, Visakhapatnam, Kadapa and Nellore. B.Com, B.Sc, B.A, B.Lib.I.Sc, B.Ed. Special Education, B.Ed. Telugu Medium, M.Com, M.Sc, M.A and M.B.A. are the various courses that can be pursued by the candidates. Dr. B.R. College living space areas and classrooms are clean. But the college doesn't provide the facilities like laboratries, libraries, sports centres and hostels. Wifi, and smart board are very far to think of it.

All facilities are provided to a certain extent. Campus infrastructure is ok. Classrooms are old. The living area is not that hygienic. Management should take special care in cleanliness, hygiene and sanitation.

As per official guidelines, Change of Study Center is not possible as admissions are based on online mode. You can refer this clause given officially Yes, you can change the subject but it is subjected to rules and regulations.The subject change is allowed only during the notified period by the University every year.You cannot change your subject once the examination notification is out. and the examination is complete.And change in subject is subjected to contact-cum-counselling provision at the study center or infrastructure facilities.
