Global Open University, Dimapur, Nagaland is a state university established by the government of Nagaland. Under the Global Open University Act 2006 (Act 3 of 2006) which received the assent of the Governor of Nagaland on 30th August 2006 and was notified with vide Notification number Law/Act-10/2006 on 18th September 2006. For general information on 18th September 2006, the provisions of the Global Open University were published. Students are offered Global Open University, Dimapur courses at undergraduate and postgraduate levels which include B.A., B.Com., B.Sc., B.Lib.I.Sc., B.B.A., M.Sc., M.C.A., M.B.A., M.P.H., M.Lib.I.Sc., and others. Global Open University, Dimapur admission into these courses is done based on merit acquired by the students in the qualifying examinations. Library, Laboratories, Classrooms and other excellent infrastructural Global Open University facilities can be availed by the eligible students.
