Maharana Pratap Horticultural University (MHU) Karnal is a state university recognised by the UGC. It was established in 2016 after approval from the Governor of Haryana state. The university offers various programmes in the Horticulture discipline. MHU Karnal courses are available at the UG, PG, and Doctoral levels.

Maharana Pratap Horticultural University Karnal offers courses at the UG level, including BSc, at the PG level, including MSc in specialisations in Floriculture and Landscape Architecture, Fruit Science, and Vegetable Science, and at the Doctoral level, including PhD in Fruit Science, Vegetable Science, and Floriculture and Landscape Architecture courses. All the MHU Karnal courses offered in the Horticulture sciences stream have a duration of 2 to 6 years.
