The state private university, Shri Jagdishprasad Jhabarmal Tibrewala University (SJJTU) was founded in the year 2009 and is situated in Jhunjhunu, Rajasthan. With a campus size of 30 acres, SJJTU makes available 128 courses in as many as 30 degrees–undergraduate, postgraduate, diploma and even doctoral degrees. The university has in total 1285 students, out of which 635 are male students and 650 are female students. SJJTU boasts a faculty strength of 26 members and maintains a student-faculty ratio of 49:1. The university is been recognised by the UGC-University Grants Commission, PCI-Pharmacy Council of India, NCTE-National Council for Teacher Education and BCI-Bar Council of India.

Several facilities available at SJJTU aims at improving student’s development in their academic activities. This campus has recently constructed class rooms, well organised lab, separate hostels for boys & girls, big library with more than 40000 books, Various Games & sports stuffs are also made available. There is internet enabled campus and computer laboratory with about 100 terminals within the university. Other features are cafeteria, auditorium, medical facilities, gym, etc., all these facilities are so integrated to improve the learning provision.

The university provides a great number of educational programmes: 7 diplomas, 25 bachelor’s, 55 master’s, and 41 doctoral programmes making a total of 128 courses. They can pursue LLB, BA LLB, B.Pharma, BNYS, BA, BCA, BPES, BBA, B.Com, B.Tech, and various M.Sc and also Ph.DCourses. The approved intake for the entire programme spread across all the courses offered is one thousand two hundred and eighty five. This is evident with SJJTU providing full-time, part-time and online learning that cuts across a wide spread of fields.

The admission in SJJTU is selective as many of them based on the merit, however, a few of them depending on the entrance examination. In engineering courses the University accepts only JEE Main score. School year starts in July while admissions are done a couple of months to the intended school year.
