About University of Agricultural and Horticultural Sciences, Shimoga
The University of Agricultural and Horticultural Sciences, Shivamogga (UAHS) was established in 2012. This is the first integrated university in the state of Karnataka, which has both agricultural and horticultural sciences under its purview. The University came into existence in 2012 with the jurisdiction of seven districts, which are Shivamogga, Chikkamagaluru, Udupi, Dakshina Kannada, Kodagu, Davanagere and Chitradurga. The University was established focusing on the importance of modern science and technology and higher education as a means to develop the food production of the country. UAHS is an academic partner with several national and international reputed organisations, which help in moulding the Post Graduate students in their future career in academics, research and extension. UAHS offers undergraduate and postgraduate courses in the faculties of Agriculture, Horticulture, Sericulture, Agricultural Marketing & Co-operation and Agricultural Engineering.

The University of Agricultural and Horticultural Sciences, Shivamogga (UAHS) offers admission to the undergraduate (B.Sc.), postgraduate (M.Sc.) and doctoral (Ph.D.) courses in the field of Agriculture. UAS Bangalore admission to the undergraduate courses is offered on the basis of the Common Entrance Test (CET) conducted by the Government of Karnataka through the Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA)/AIEEA UG examination. Admission to postgraduate courses is done through the ICAR AIEEA PG examination. University of agricultural and horticultural sciences (UAHS) shimoga offers many courses in B.Sc agriculture, horticulture and forestry.
The eligibility is 10+2 in science stream (PCB) with minimum 50% marks.
The selction process is through CET and counselling. CET, practical test and document verification for agricultarist quota candidates.
