    Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Legislative Law (BA LLB) Honours is a five-year full-time Integrated program in Law offered by Manipal Academy of Higher Education, Manipal.

    The Manipal Law School with the BA LLB (Hons.) programme focuses on enabling students to comprehend multi-dimensional legal systems with a clear objective of developing their abilities to enhance their written and oral skills persuasively, anticipate outcomes, and use research skills and analytical skills in problem-solving. The Curriculum is designed with a view to offer varied areas of specialization aligned with the requirements of legal profession and academics. MLS has a unique Teaching pedagogy which is on the Outcome based education and sharply focuses on legal skill development through specialised guest lectures, workshops, seminars, simulation exercises and value-added courses on legal drafting, Mooting exercises, meditation, negotiation and arbitration to enable the students’ transition from theory to practice.

    There is also a major thrust given to the courses like professional ethics of legal profession as such courses make students more acclimatized to the practical nuances of Legal Profession. Faculty over here has also produced decisive scholarship that has made considerable contributions to legal discourse as well. The students under the guidance of our faculty endeavours for active engagement in the services that benefits our local, regional, national and international communities.

    Eligibility Criteria

    Indian Boards - 

    • Pass in 10+2 or equivalent from a recognized Board, with minimum 50% aggregate marks

    A level -  

    • Minimum 3 subjects in the ‘A’ Levels and 5 Passes in the IGCSE / GCSE including English
    • Minimum requirement is an average of ‘D’ grade

    IB - 

    • IB Diploma or IB Certificate with 3 subjects at HL and 3 subjects at SL with an overall minimum of 24 points 
    •  Minimum points required in a subject are 3 or above
