Affiliated College, Dukhulal Nibaran Chandra College of Murshidabad, which was started in 1967 in Aurangabad, West Bengal, has 3,547 students and varieties of undergraduate courses. This sprawling campus-based institution is spread over 5.745 acres of land. The college has 20 dedicated teachers and has been accredited by NAAC. Being affiliated, the college offers a variety of Undergraduate Courses for Arts, Commerce, and Science.

The college aims to offer the students a friendly learning environment. Hence, the infrastructure provides facilities for academic and personal growth. The library, an intrinsic part of this college, has grown into a Knowledge Resource Centre within the last five decades. Dukhulal Nibaran Chandra College in Murshidabad. It is an affiliated college offering numerous undergraduate courses in the streams of Arts, Commerce, and Science. The admission process is very simple. It depends primarily on the academic merit of the applicant in the qualifying examination.  The admission cycle mostly starts after the announcement of all 10+2 results, which usually falls in May or June, while classes commence in August-September. 

Most courses require 10+2 from any recognized board for eligibility. While cutoffs are usually specific to the program, the college tends to more or less base admissions on the overall marks secured in the qualifying examination. An aggregate of 50% marks in the 10+2 examination is mostly accepted as a basic eligibility criterion, although this may vary for different courses. 

Application Process

The admission process which will be followed by Dukhulal Nibaran Chandra College, Murshidabad will contain the following points:

Degree-wise Admission Process

BA Courses: Some of the BA Honours courses that are run by the college include Bengali, Education, History, Political Science, English, Philosophy, Sanskrit, Arabic, Geography, and Economics. As for student admission capacity, the highest are Bengali and Education with 750 seats each, then History (600 seats) while Political Science will permit 345. The admission process for these programs is based primarily on the marks secured in the 10+2 examination with reference to the relevant subjects.

B.Sc Programs: Dukhulal Nibaran Chandra College admits B.Sc Honours programs in Zoology, Geography, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Botany. The intake compared to BA programs is rather small, with Zoology having the highest at 57 seats while most others just range between 16-50. Candidates desiring admission into these programs must possess a strong background in science subjects at the 10+2 level.

B.Com Programs: The college offers B.Com Honours in Accounting and Finance with an intake of 98 students. The marks obtained in commerce-based subjects of the 10+2 examination are observed for the selection process.

Based on merit, admission decisions for all programs shall be made considering the marks scored in the relevant subjects as well as the whole qualifying examination.
