Aryabhatta Teachers' Training College, Patna, is the only teacher education institution functioning in the Indian state of Bihar. The carrying capacity for this course is 100 seats. Admission for the B.Ed. course is on merit, taking into account the marks secured in the qualifying examination and/or entrance test, as the case may be, in accordance with the guidelines of the state government/UT administration/university.
The D.El.Ed. course aims to prepare teachers for primary classes through two years of theoretical and practical classes as well as internship programmes. There are 50 available seats for this course. Although the admission process for D.El.Ed. will also be based on the merit of qualifying examination and/or entrance examination, admission will be subject to fulfilment of the norms laid by state government or UT administration.
