Bagnan Teachers Training College was founded in the year 2007 in Howrah, West Bengal. It is a co-educational and affiliated college that aims to provide training courses for teaching to its students. The college has been accredited by the NAAC and approved by the NCTE; hence, it has maintained a high standard regarding teacher education. Spread over a compact 1.05-acre campus, Bagnan Teachers Training College runs two specialised courses with a total student enrolment of 199 and is supported by a faculty of 16 experienced educators.

The institution has quite a few infrastructural amenities to facilitate the learning process for its students. Admission to Bagnan Teachers Training College is made purely on merit, based on marks in the qualifying examinations and/or entrance test. In the case of the B.Ed course, admission shall be made under the policy framed by the state government and the affiliated university. Admission for D.El.Ed is per the procedure instructed by the state government or UT administration.
