BGS College of Education, Shringeri Admission 2025: Dates, Application Form, Courses, Fees & Eligibility

Part of Karnataka located in a traditional and serene countryside, BGS College of Education at Shringeri in Chickmagalur district represents one of the best campuses for teacher training. It has the approval of the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) and is known for offering various specialized courses in education.

The admissions will be purely on the merit basis following the rules specified by authorities constituted by the Government of the State/Union Territory concerned and the University itself. The selection shall be on the marks of qualifying examinations and any entrance examinations as may be prescribed according to the relevant policy in the case of admission by merit. Application Process

3. Documents Submission: Submission of all necessary documents includes:

   • Mark sheets of qualifying examinations

   • Transfer certificate

   • Caste certificate (if it does apply)

   • Other documents as specified by the college

4. Entrance Test: Any candidate may be required to sit for an entrance examination under the guidelines of the State or University.

5. Merit List: The college shall prepare a merit list basing on the academic performance and/or performance in the entrance examination.

6. Counseling and Seat Allocation: Shortlisted Candidates may then be called for counseling and seat allotment.

Degree-wise Admission Process

• B.Ed: Bachelor of Education is a two-year full-time program with a recognized intake of 50 students. Admission governing merit on qualifying examination marks and/or entrance test performance according to policies established by the State Government concerned and the affiliated university.

• D.Ed: D.Ed is a two-year full-time program. Approved intake: 50 Students. Admission strictly on merit basis is conducted, taking into account academic scores and whenever applicable conducting an entrance examination, in accordance with prescribed rules.
