    Doctor Of Philosophy (PhD) Law and Governance shall be for a minimum duration of three years, including course work and a maximum of six years. Extension beyond the above limits will be governed by the relevant clauses as stipulated in the Statute/Ordinance of the individual Institution concerned Offered by Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi.


    Eligibility Criteria

    The eligibility conditions for taking the examination are a Master’s degree in Political Science, Public Administration, Economics, Sociology, History, Philosophy of Law with 55% marks; or 60% in any branch of natural science.

    Admission Details

    Admission to the PhD Programme is by an entrance examination conducted by the University, followed by a viva voice for those candidates who qualify in the written examination.
