Law Centre-I, University of Delhi, Delhi Admission Process

Law Centre-I is one of the most distinguished law schools under-graduate-wise, with a tough admission process to get into it.  Such high reputation with a limited number of seats at the institution makes the admission process quite competitive. Law Centre-I admission is based on the Common University Entrance Test for Undergraduate Programmes (CUET UG), a national-level entrance examination conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). According to the announcement, the Common University Entrance Test (CUET UG) for the following academic year will be held between May 15 and May 24, 2025. The examination is done in online mode.

Students are advised to look into the official CUET website and that of Law Centre - I for the most current information regarding the application and admission deadline. However, it is expected for students to be cleared for entrance to the LLB course at Law Centre- I after completion of a recognised board's 10+2 or corresponding higher secondary education. Most of the eligibility conditions are specified in the official admission notification and may entail certain subject requirements associated with minimum percentage criteria and others.

      Law Centre-I Admission Process

      • CUET UG Registration: Candidates have to register for the entrance examination, CUET UG, through the CUET official website. In all likelihood, CUET UG 2025 will commence early in 2025.
      • CUET UG Examination: On the specified date, candidates need to appear for the CUET UG examination, which is going to be conducted online from May 15, 2025 to May 24, 2025.
      • Declaration of Results: Candidates have to wait until the CUET UG results are declared to check if they qualify for admission into Law Center-I.
      • Application to University of Delhi: In the event of qualifying, apply to University of Delhi for admission to Law Centre-I, as per this process it usually fills out an online application form on the admission portal of University.
      • Document Submission: Upload all relevant documents.
      • Merit List: Depending on CUET UG scores and the additional criteria indicated in admission guidelines, the university will prepare a merit list.
      • Counselling and Allotment of Seat: In this step, the selected candidates will participate in the counseling process; which will include document verification and seat allotment.
      • Payment of Fees: The finality about admission is done when a candidate accepts the offer by paying the requisite fees within the time limit.
      • Final Admission: Report at Law Centre-I for final admission formalities followed by the commencement of the classes.

      Law Centre-I LLB Admission Process

The three-year full-time LLB programme at Law Centre-I has an intake of 480 students. Based on performance in the CUET UG, novices would be outfitted with thorough knowledge of legal systems while readying them for the bumpy road ahead in the legal profession.

Eligibility criteria toward admission to the LLB programme include:

      • Completion of 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognised board
      • Qualification in the CUET UG examination
      • Any additional criteria as may be stipulated by the University of Delhi or Law Centre-I

Merit should be the sole criteria for admission to be granted to eligible candidates qualifying in the CUET UG , depending on the seats available.

      Law Centre-I Documents Required

      • CUET UG score card
      • 10th and 12th standard mark sheets
      • Category certificates (if applicable)
      • Other certificates as specified by the university

No admission will be processed without required records.

Currently studying llb and so far its good. The professors are nice. Their teaching style also differs from each other. Faculty of law is one of the best institutions for law degree so why not. You will get the chance to explore and learn.

      College Infra

The infrastructure of the college is pretty nice. All the classrooms have AC (working). Food setups are also available. Library is good too.Wifi doesn't work properly but it's good. Hostel system is pretty bad though.

      Campus Life

The campus life is great. You'll enjoy every moment in North campus. The streets are filled with students and you'll get to meet a lot more people and expand your network which ultimately helps in building strong connection.

      Placements

The placement cells are to be honest not entirely functional. It's quite bad and student cannot rely on the college. Students need to find jobs or even internship on their own. So in this case it is bad.

      Value For Money

To be Frank it is worth the money. You are completing you law degree in just 22k rupees with such a great exposure. It's an government institutions and very well known around the nation which helps student getting opportunity.
