Established in 2012, the Chinsurah College of Education, Hooghly is an affiliated college. It is located in West Bengal, India. This college is a co-educational institution and is approved by NCTE. The institution covers an area of 0.75 acres with a built-up area of 26385 sq. ft. The institution offers two specialized degree courses in education. A total of 199 students are enrolled in the courses provided by Chinsurah College of Education whereas it has a total faculty strength of 26, providing focused learning to the aspiring educator.

The college has a lot of infrastructural facilities to augment the learning process of the students. The library, duly equipped and well-stocked with volumes more than 3001, set up in an area of 1500 sq. ft has the capacity to accommodate 30 students at one time for study. The IT infrastructure is also equally good, and the institute has provided 10 computers updated with software and networking through LAN, accessible to teachers and students alike. There are special laboratories like the Psychology Resource Centre, Language Learning Laboratory, and ET/ICT lab, which impart practical training. The institute also has a multi-purpose hall with a seating capacity for 200 students to conduct seminars and other cultural activities. Other facilities would include boys' and girls' hostels, a canteen, and ample parking area space for different categories of vehicles at the disposal of the students.

Chinsurah College of Education runs two full-time courses of Teacher Education. Of them, B.Ed has 100 seats, and D.El.Ed has 50. Both the courses are of a duration of two years each to assist students in making a career as teachers in various levels of education.

Admission to Chinsurah College of Education is strictly based on merit with regard to marks obtained in the qualifying examination. In the case of the B.Ed. course, admission is made based on merit in the qualification examination. D.El.Ed. course admission will be made based on marks secured in qualifying examinations and/or entrance examination conducted as per the policy of the state government. The admission procedure for this college follows the admission guidelines that have been laid down by the West Bengal government, keeping in mind the selection process open, nondiscriminatory, and transparent.
