Devaki Amma Memorial Teacher Education College situated at Chelembra, was started in the year 2001, is an affiliated college situated in Malappuram District of Kerala. This co-educational institution recognised by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) offers teacher education programs alone. The college is located on a single one point one acre plot and provides three full time courses having a collective student strength of one ninety seven. The admission policy of Devaki Amma Memorial Teacher Education College differ according to the programme being offered. The marks scored by the candidates of their degree standard examination is taken into consideration for the selection only for the B.Ed programme where the aggregate or the Part III marks are converted into 1000 marks. For Commerce or Computer Science options the marks in the post graduate examination are taken into consideration. Admission for M.Ed is solely on merits of marks obtained in the qualifying examination, entrance test, or any other mode as per the norms of State Government/University concerned.
