Stanley College of Education Pappireddipatti was founded in 2007, is a co-education college prepares for a future teacher with diverse learning style. This affiliated college spread across 6 acres of area is situated in Dharmapuri district of Tamil Nadu. This institute is well known for it quality education, as this institute is NAAC accredited and Information and Communication Technology college is approved by National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). Currently Stanley College of Education has 278 students and 26 teaching staff, approved two Professional degree programmes in education where students and faculty can work together efficiently towards their ambitions.

Stanley College of Education has various facilities meant to complement the education of the students who attend the college. A library equipped with all kinds of resources is essential in the school complemented by specific science laboratories such as; Education Technology Lab, Psychology Lab, and Audio-Visual Lab. Modern hall for events and seminars has been also established on the territory of the campus that enhances a rich academic life. For this purpose, the college includes complex of sport equipment and performing, and a gym. Stanley College of Education, Pappireddipatti, a co-educational institution since its inception, strives to impart training to would-be teachers in diverse learning styles. An affiliated college of the National Council for Teacher Education, Stanley College of Education offers training in two professional degree programmes for aspirants in education. For selection of eligible candidates to the B.Ed. and M.Ed. courses, admission to Stanley College of Education is organized. 

The merit list shall consider the marks obtained in the qualifying examination and/or entrance examinations for admission selection, in accordance with the rules set by the state government and the affiliated university. For both B.Ed. and M.Ed., eligibility shall be determined with respect to merit in academic performance in the qualifying examinations. For any updates regarding the application schedule and admission dates, either the college's website or the admissions office will provide timely information.

Application Process

The college follows the application process described below:

1. Eligibility Check: Ensure that you are fulfilling the academic requirements of the program (B.Ed or M.Ed).

2. Application form: Collect the application form and fill it in. Though not specified on the college website, forms will usually be available online or in the office of admissions.

3. Documents: Check for required documents to be submitted:

  • Completed application form
  • Passport-size photographs
  • Mark sheets of qualifying examinations
  • Transfer certificate from the last institution attended
  • Conduct certificate
  • Community certificate (if applicable)
  • Other certificates as specified by the college

4. Entrance Examination: If required, take the entrance exam as prescribed by the state or the affiliated university.

5. Merit List: Then it will prepare a merit list according to the criteria specified for each program (qualifying exam marks and/or entrance exam scores).

6. Counseling and Admission: Shortlisted candidates may be invited for a counseling session, where they can select their preferred course (for B.Ed) in rank order based on availability.

7. Fee Payment: Post-selection, the candidate should pay the fees to confirm admission.

8. Document Verification: Documental submission is then finalized by collecting all submissions and going through them by the college.

Admission Process Degree-wise

B.Ed: Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) program sanctioned intake for admission is 100 at Stanley College of Education. Admission to the B.Ed program is strictly by merit, either on the basis of the marks received in the qualifying examination and/or entrance examination. Admission will be carried out in accordance with the policies laid down by the state government, UT Administration and the respective affiliated universities. Candidates who hold bachelor degrees in appropriate fields are eligible to submit an application for the B.Ed program.

M.Ed: The Master of Education (M.Ed) program allows admission for 50 students. The admission process is analogous to that of B.Ed and mostly merit based for selection. The candidates perform on the basis of the qualifying examination, entrance examination, or any other selection process enumerated in accordance with the policies of the state government, university, or UT Administration. The candidates should not be less than the B.Ed or equivalent degree for M.Ed.
