Hello Charu

With this score you can't get anything in any of the BIT's Campus. Maximum you can get B.pharm with this marks.

So, according to me do not loose VIT, if you are getting that too CSE. CSE in VIT is as good as various NIT's or i can say it is better from some of the NIT's.

Hey, Charu!

With a score of 278, you can get courses such as MSc. in Biological Science, MSc. in Chemistry and BE in Civil Engineering in the Pilani campus; considering you are interested in the main campus. Coming to your question, you can withdraw your application if you are solely interested in going for BITS and don't priortize the course selection much or if you are interested in the courses you can go for based on your marks. However, if you're interested in CSE, you shouldn't withdraw your application as there are no chances of you getting this branch in any of the campuses of BITS. For more information regarding the previous year cut offs in all the 3 campuses of BITS, you are advised to visit the following links:

Hope this helps. All the best!

I am not interested in in CSE. But things might change next year maybe, hence I feel MSc courses would be better for me. Thanks for replying so fast!

Hello,

278 is not a very safe score.

For getting a good stream BSc seat in BITS Pilani, or Hyderabad you need to score around 300 or above.

You will definitely not get CSE there.

in case you want to pursue with computer science stream to not withdraw your VIT seat.

I suggest you wait and see what stream you get in BITS, but do not withdraw. It is very likely that you will not get any B tech seat in BITS. You may get a BSc seat

Ya.. I know. I ll wait for the iterations along with VIT CSE then. But the problem is that Vit starts from 2nd week of July, and idk at what date the iterations will finish and how much they will refund.

Actually you can safely withdraw your application from VIT, Vellore and your scores are sufficient to get you any branch of Engineering in the BITS Pilani. The cutoffs for almost all the courses there except manufacturing lie above 280 so you can definitely get it. Moreover not everyone who appears for BITSAT takes admission in BIT so you can go with your plan.

All the very best

I know the score I have is not safe. That is why I am confused, the last day of paying fees is tomorrow. According to the previous year cutoffs I might get MSc courses and I am fine with it, I am ready to work hard the first year to get a good BE degree. I haven't geard anything good about Vit and I don't know how kuch amount will be refunded to me.Thank you for your replies.

If you are fine with the course you're getting there then definitely go for withdrawal but if you're apprehensive because nothing could be said for certain how many admissions will be there so you can wait until you get a good course in BIT.

I ll mostly get MSc courses, if my luck is good and the cutoffs dont shoot up. And i think those courses will give me more clarity about what I wamt to do as my BE.

That's true. Because if you're getting CSE in VIT and MSc in BIT then you'll get more opportunities in VIT only.

I have heard VIT is not women student friendly. The rules are very very strict.
