What's better, the best course in VIT or one of the not so great courses in BITS?

That is a good question.

If you compare the brand value of BITS and VIT..BITS is way ahead of VIT in almost every possible manner. Now since you have got 301 marks in BITSAT..it is most likely that you shall end up getting departments like Chemical, Civil or even Mechanical if you're lucky..

Now it's upto you what you like..if you're interested in CSE and confident of yourself..VIT is a good place as well.

But if you're looking for brand name and better quality of students and hence a better environment around you..you can join BITS in that condition.

The choice is yours!

VIT vellore often considered as one of the best technical universities in India was established with the aim of providing quality higher education with international standards.VITEEE is the exam that should be cracked to enter into the college.Vellore Institute of Technology University has an infrastructure campus of 300 acres with 7 academic blocks along with smart classrooms . About 55 servers have been installed in all different departments to manage the high-speed data transmission in the campus.VIT has achieved Limca Guinness world record for more than 1000 students placed in a single company. This is the highest placement record in the university.VIT has a very strong focus on research activities.
Whereas on the other hand Birla Institute of Technology and Science has an ample of things which made him awesome and the best private technological university in India. It follows "No Reservation Policy".Being one of the most reputed colleges in india , its placements are  100% and that too in reputed companies like  google,microssoft,intel,texas instruments,quacomn, Mc kinsey and co etc.the averge package is very high .for example , last year it was 20 lpa for CS and 16lpa for EEE. The college offers many opportunities to participate in extracirculars. It puts the equal preference to academics and extracirculars. There are many extracicular activities too in the campus
. there are many grounds , indoor playrooms etc. BITSAT(BITS admission test) is the exam that should be cracked to enter into the college.
However , both universities are good in terms of infra and education quality , facilities and placement. All the top companies visits both universities for campus placement.
According to my opinion , Definitely BITS Pilani is best for CSE department and is widely renowned
campus across India for its Placements and Crore plus salary package.
And In VIT , I believe that if you are
from Core CSE/IT then you have a lot of opportunities as more than 300 companies visit the campus for placements and for the placement point of view I would advise one to choose the Vellore campus.
