Here was the previous year closing ranks for admission in NIT Surathkal for admission in the I information technology branch for various categories. You'd require a rank in a similar range.

General- 8038 (HS) 3773(OS)
OBC NCL- 6084 (HS) , 1418 (OS)
SC- 1655 (HS), 1077 (OS)
ST- 716 (HS), 252 (OS)
HS means home state and OS means Outside state.
