hi,

see candidates are eligible to apply for gate exam irrespective of their b.e stream. however in some of the institute , eligibility criteria mentions to have the specific stream in bachelors to become eligible to apply for masters course. gate cutoff for nits and iits as per stream wise is available in our website which you may check at below link:

to check the branch wise eligibility criteria you need to go through the official websites of iits/ iisc , eligibility criteria differs as per college wise and may change over time to time.
