According to 2018 cut off trends the closing rank for SC candidate in Mechanical engineering was 15834 and opening rank was 13064. for civil engineering the closing rank was 13786 and opening rank was 71362 for the same.For metallurgical engineering the closing rank was 30029 the opening rank was 28917 for the same.As 15% seats are for non-local candidates so there are chances that you may get seat in baove branches.However cut off is subjected to change it may increase or decrease slightly.

Well,first of all congratulations thats a pretty good rank.Yes you can get into jntu hyderabad with that rank but into chemical or MET branches but not cse,ece,mech or civil because cutoff was 3k to 4k for core branches.

But,don't worry you do get seat in top 10 private colleges that to core branches.

You need to secure a rank below 1k for ece, cse branch

And 1k-2k for other branches. As there is no particular cut off rank mentioned for non local candidates it is just a rough figure
