Hey!!

As you want to pursue your post graduation in environmental science (M Tech.), so You must have acquired your bachelor's degree in Civil engineering/ Chemical engineering/ Environmental engineering/ sny other equivalent degree. After that you have to apply and appear for the GATE exam, admissions are given on the basis of valid scores in GATE exam in the relevant discipline. After that selection of candidates is done through a written test or interview. For M Sc in environmental science you can give IIT JAM entrance exam which is conducted by IITS every year.

IIT Roorkee doesn't offer M.Sc in Environmental Sciences. It only offers post graduation degree (i.e. M.Sc) in Biotechnology, Mathematics, Physics, Applied Geology, Chemistry, Economics. Though admission to Post graduation courses in IITs is done through IIT JAM. So in order to get admission to M.Sc in Environmental Sciences in any other IIT, you have to appear for IIT JAM.
