Hi,

If you don't freeze your seat until the last rounds of the counseling then you won't be able to get a seat in any college. So if you have kept any seat on the float or slide option I would ask you to freeze it. While in internal up-gradation also you have to freeze a seat, otherwise you won't be registered to that seat.

ON JAC DELHI website : Candidates can freeze their present branch if they do not want further upgradation

Float option means you want upgradation as per your choice but if they are not available you entitled for the seat allotted to you . Upgradation do happens after first semester in college only for those candidates who have kept there seat on float , if you have freezes your seat up dont get upgradation after first semester
