if nit suratkal is in your homestate than keep on going till second round of csab round most probably you will be able to get IT ..but if you are from other state than there will be low chance of getting IT and I will recommand you to even go for eee and ece because in college if any seat remains vacant than you may upgrade you branch but there is off course a risk in that.
