Hello Aspirant,

As you have already checked the previous year cutoff of KIMS, you can try in that college but my suggestion to you is do not take risk. Keep few more colleges in your mind so that if one doesn't work out, you have a plan b.

As I rightly learned, there are many other colleges in Karnataka such a BELAGAVI INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCE, GADAG INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCE, HASSAN INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCE and many more. You can keep few of the other colleges too in your preference list so as to avoid any panic situations for you in future.

I hope you are satisfied with this answer.

Hello aspirant,

You have just mentioned your score in your query and not your rank. This year, the maximum scores went as high as 720 and so according to previous year's data, a score of 500 will yield a much lower rank that that of previous year. Though the cutoffs for the different colleges vary each year, it can be safe to assume that you have a fair chance at getting into Koppal Institute of Medical Science though the All India State Quota Seats (15%). Since you have a domicile of Odisha, you can check the colleges that you will get in through the State quota seats (85%) using the link: https://medicine.careers360.com/articles/neet-cutoff-odisha

Hope this helps.
