Hey Sandeep the eligibility criteria to take admission in Btech ( Computer Science Engineering ) in Thapar Institute is with two different modes

Mode – 1: (Based on JEE Main – 2019 score) for 70% of seats

The candidate have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with at least 60% marks (55% for SC/ST candidates) in aggregate of three subjects, namely, Physics, Mathematics and any one subject out of Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology and Technical Vocational subject OR Minimum 60% (55% for SC/ST candidates) marks in a Diploma recognized by AICTE or a state board of technical education of at least 3-year duration.

Mode – 2: (Based on 10+2 marks in PCM) for 30% of seats

The candidate have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with at least 75% marks (70% for SC/ST candidates) in aggregate of three subjects, namely, Physics, Mathematics and any one subject out of Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology and Technical Vocational subject.

TIET takes admissions through the score of jee mains.Cut off varies from year to year.

To take admission in TIET 60% minimum marks is required in aggregate in 10+2 exam or any equivalent exam.

In 2018, cut off for computer science engineering was 83 marks  for candidates of punjab and for outside punjab it was 129.

Observing the trend of jee mains 2019 I think the minimum marks for punjab candidates will be around 90.

For candidates outside punjab it will be 130.

Thapar University is a private University which give admission on the basis of jee mains acyore card until and unless you're a NRI student. You need to score a minimum of 48 marks in mains in order to be eligible to get admission in the University. As CSE is one of the most demandable branch it's cutoffs are also high you need to score more than 125 marks in jee mains as a general category student to get cse.
