What is the age criteria for appearing in KCET 2018?

According to the KEA prescribed eligibility criteria for KCET, there is no age factor that will be taken into consideration. However, there are certain strict eligibility parameters for the students appearing in KCET entrance exam. They are:

Nationality: You must a citizen of India.

Educational qualification: You must have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with Mathematics and Physics as compulsory subjects and English as one of the languages.

Minimum score: You need to have secured minimum 45 per cent aggregate marks in 10+2 or equivalent examination. Those belonging to reserved categories must have secured minimum 40 per cent in aggregate.

In some special cases like if the parents of the candidate belong to Member of parliament, Central or state government employee or defence, they can also apply for KCET exam following specified eligibility criteria like the area their parents work, number of years they have served, whether they have served in Karnataka or not etc. Domicile becomes a necessary document in all these cases.

There is as such no age criteria to appear for KCET exam.

Below is the eligibility criteria of the exam you can check below

-You must have studied and passed from a recognised institution situated in Karnataka. The academic study from a state institute should be for a minimum period of 7 years, starting from 1st standard to 2nd PUC/12th standard as on July 1 of the exam year.

-You should have passed your Class 12 exam with Mathematics and Physics as compulsory subjects. You must have studied English as one of the languages.

-You should have scored at least 45 per cent aggregate marks in the qualifying examination.

-For SC, ST and OBC (2A, 2B, 3A and 3B) category should have secured at least 40 per cent aggregate marks.

-If a student scores less marks in Chemistry than the required aggregate, then in that case, marks scored by the candidate in Biology, Biotechnology, Computer Science, will be taken into consideration.
